Cataract is the leading cause of bilateral blindness in India. It has been reported that cataract is responsible for 50-80% of the bilaterally blind in the country. Cataract formation is a natural part of the ageing process. Even though vision lost due to cataract can be restored through a simple and minor procedure, it still remains one of the significant causes of preventable blindness.
Facilities available include Phacoemulsification systems which enable us to perform Phacoemulsification (Micro incision suture less surgery) under topical anaesthesia.
All types of cataract surgeries including refractive cataract surgeries (Toric, multifocal) and complex cataract surgeries are performed by competent surgeons. Majority of the cataract surgeries are performed using phacoemulsification technique.
